how will I know exactly how my notecards will look with my personalized text?

Because every individual notecard is custom designed with your personalized text, every set of cards is unique to you. On our product pages, we try to show a variety of how different names (short and long) would be displayed, so this is a good reference to go by as to how your own name or chosen text would look. Also, as hard as we may try, it is impossible to match screen preview colors to actual printed colors; so please be prepared for a variance in color from what your computer screen previews to your final product. Every computer monitor varies widely when it comes to displaying colors. We do our best to make your notecards look as close to the website screen preview colors as possible, but there is no guarantee to exact shade matches. Our only guarantee is that your notecards will be unique and personalized just for you! Our customers ordering from the Wedding Invitations category will be sent electronic proofs for approval before their stationery goes to print production.

how will I know exactly how my photos (or logo) will look on my notecards?

Even as right-brain thinkers, we understand that it can sometimes be hard to imagine what your finished design will look like with your photos (or logo) in place. You see, our li'l shop, unlike many other larger online card stores, runs and operates by actual hands-on people, not automatically by computers. Because of this, every photo (or logo) we receive is handled with TLC, ensuring that it is formatted correctly, cropped professionally and -above all else- looks perfect with your chosen card design.... and if it doesn't, we will quickly let you know so that we can work together to ensure that it does! Because we won't send out anything we are not 100% happy with, and we certainly wouldn't expect you to either.

do I have to use my name on my notecards?

No way! What you put on your cards is totally up to you. Our cards are designed to be personalized any way you like... so let your imagination run wild... a favorite song lyric, a quotation, a nickname, the possibilities are endless. Please keep in mind that we do have a maximum # of characters allowed (depending on each design), so be sure to choose a notecard that accommodates your personal message, whatever it may be.

how are my notecards printed?

We're so glad you asked! All of our notecards are flat printed on an HP Indigo 5000 digital press. Similar to traditional offset printing, the Indigo uses liquid inks and an offset blanket to transfer the ink to the card stock. The Indigo is known for its quality and its ability to match to traditional offset printing. This allows us to offer an affordable stationery product for our customers, while still maintaining exceptional quality. All of our printing takes place in a carbon neutral, FSC certified facility.

what kind of paper are my notecards printed on?

All of our notecards are printed on premium quality heavy 110 lb. bright white, smooth, matte paper. Our paper is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified, and made carbon neutral with 100% renewable green energy. Our bright white envelopes are made with 100% renewable green energy and are green-e certified. Our packaging is made from 100% Post Consumer Waste (PCW) and is printed using ultra low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) vegetable based inks.

what size are my notecards?

All of our notecards (horizontal and vertical designs) are 4.5 inches by 6.25 inches and come with our A6 envelopes. For horizontal orientation folded cards, the fold is along the top, as shown in our actual photographs of the cards (check them out on our gallery page). For vertical folded cards, the fold is on the side (our little "folded" illustration only shows a horizontal view, but just picture it turned upright).

what if I am over the maximum # of letters allowed for my chosen notecard design?

Each of our notecards is designed to allow the proper amount of text that will work within each design without compromising the design. For this reason, there is a maximum # of letters allowed for each design. By clicking on our various designs, you will see which designs allow more text than others, for extra long names or messages. If you are only over by a few letters (and your heart is set on a certain design), we suggest trying to edit your message down to fit.

what if I have my heart set on a wedding design, however my actual wedding color is not featured as one of the three color choices available?

We can customize colors within our Wedding categories for a small fee ($25). Simply email us with your color ideas and we'll send you a proof before print production to ensure your color scheme is spectacular!

what if my wedding rsvp card requires meal choices for guests?

We realize that every wedding is different, as is every RSVP card... for this reason, we are very flexible with the option to incorporate additional information to your Wedding RSVP card. Simply email us with your ideas and text and we will send you a proof before print production to ensure your vision is realized... and all at no extra charge to you!

what if I would prefer a traditional small rsvp card with a small envelope, rather than the rsvp postcard which you offer?

Currently, through our online shop, we are only able to offer rsvps in the postcard style. However (for an additional fee) we can work with clients one-on-one to customize and fill special order requests such as this one. Anything is possible really... so if you have an idea, simply get in touch with us and we'll do our best to make it a reality.

what if I want to order more than 10 sets of cards?

That's an easy one... just place another order! Each order allows for up to 10 sets of cards (25 cards per set), so if you need more than 10 sets, simply place a second (or third) order.

how do I know if my photo meets your minimum resolution required?

The only resolution that matters in a digital camera is the number of pixels, the millions of tiny dots that make up your photo. Many digital camera specifications mention the number of horizontal and vertical pixels that make up the digital photograph. For example, one camera might produce photos that are 2272 pixels wide and 1704 pixels tall (2272 x 1704). Another camera will produce an image that is 4492 x 3328. An image with a lot of pixels is also called high resolution. An image with a low number of pixels is called low resolution. We require a minimum image resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels, this typically converts to 1.9 megapixels (most digital cameras made these days are 3 megapixels and above). Always ensure your actual camera resolution settings are set to this minimum (1600 x 1200) for printing purposes (not 640 x 480). If your camera does not add a tag to the image (such as jpeg), it defaults to 72 ppi (pixels per inch) on your monitor. The photo size at 72 PPI is typically something like 32x42 inches.... it's huge, and this will work just fine to send us as we can resample it to 300 dpi (The professional print standard) and it will adjust in size accordingly without losing any resolution. So, if you can't send us a 300 dpi jpg at 4” x 6”, just send us your mega-huge 72 ppi photo (or whatever resolution your camera saves at) and we'll make the necessary adjustments for you (at no extra charge). If you're still confused... call up that tech-savvy (computer geek) friend of yours for a li'l technical support... or simply email us your photo first and we'll let you know if it makes the cut... no problem.

Yes, all prices are listed and charged in Canadian dollars. Exchange rates may vary depending on the policies of your credit card issuer.
